A Different Loyalty
Synopsis
In January 1963, a British journalist suddenly disappeared from his home in Beirut. His wife Sally knew that he was working part-time for British intelligence, but was not prepared to be told by the British Embassy that they suspect he has defected to Communist Russia. As Sally puts together the pieces of the mysterious jigsaw of the past, tracking her passionate relationship with her husband and his history as former head of M16's counter-espionade section, her relentless search for the truth takes her to London, New York and finally Moscow. In a thrilling life-and-death climax, she ultimately comes face-to-face with the age-old conflict between love and duty as East and West collide at a unique time in 20th century history.
Set against the backdrop of Cold War espionage, A Different Loyalty is a highly suspenseful romantic drama, which examines the extremes that two people will go to in the pursuit of their love and their beliefs.
