Shadows of the Sun
Synopsis
A vivid and visual surreal film dealing with themes of poetry, art, love and PTSD.
Following the death of her father a pragmatic British journalist by chance finds herself at the location of a historic Murder/ Suicide in New York. She has an unexplainable emotional reaction and becomes haunted by this story, an urban legend. She has heard it once before when she was just a teenager on the run in London.
Strangely compelled to investigate the original case, she embarks on an epic journey around the world and into the past to discover who the victims really were and why they died. Her quest becomes increasingly personal through her immersion into the victim’s diaries, letters and forensics. As she is about to solve the riddle of their final day, production takes an unexpected turn. One of the victims, the suspected murderer, has become more than a historic figure to her. His intense presence is felt too vividly. Can she solve the secrets of his past without jeopardising her future?
