The Barn
Synopsis
Jake and Adam are chancers who have always survived on their wits. The dilemma that they face is a universal one which few of us ever address. We are mortal. This is what transforms the story from the tragi-comic to the heroic. The through-line of this film is two-fold. First we follow Jake's journey. Second we take the audience on their own journey of discovery.
When people are confined they will attempt to draw the universe into their own space. The barn shifts in size. Sight and sound are perceived differently. The logic of the dialogue is pushed to absurd extremes, to the point where logic itself breaks down.
