Synopsis

A non-fiction adaptation of the fairy tale book 'The Little Mermaid' (Hans Christian Andersen, 1837), set in today's polluted waters and environment. After losing her family in the 21st century Sea Heatwave, Little Mermaid decides to depart from home in search for a better place to live. From Hackney, London to Can Tho, Vietnam via Sao Paulo, Brazil, and through the force of some of the most polluted rivers in the world, Little Mermaid faces a series of events that will test her will.
