Synopsis
Habitat loss, climate change, poaching, trafficking and trading of animal parts and live animals are all contributing to a global 'sixth extinction event.'
This documentary follows the dramatic, dangerous and immensely challenging journey of the 6XT team as they travel the world to unravel the complexities leading to the rapid decline of animal populations and decimation of ecosystems.
The 6XT team have set themselves a mammoth task of changing attitudes towards animal conservation globally by raising the curtain on the dramatic, controversial and as yet often misunderstood factors that are bringing so many species to the brink of extinction.
This is not a work of fiction; Their journey is fraught with real danger and jeopardy, as they investigate and infiltrate global criminal gangs, trafficking and poaching networks, corporate practices and consumer demands.
Following several years of research, production is now poised to begin as the investigations swing into action with cameras capturing every dramatic moment of this astonishing journey.
