Synopsis
In 2004, aged UK punk rocker - Johnny Jones of the famed Welsh 80's band 'The Weapons Of Happiness' - hoodwinked top record labels, radio DJ's, and the entire rock music world by releasing his new punk-pop single under a fictitious band name.
After being rejected by his former record label for being too old, Johnny passes off the single to a Radio DJ and says it's by a young, unknown Welsh rock band he is managing. Much to everyone's surprise, it receives immediate air play. Johnny and his old band assemble a rowdy bunch of teenagers to be the face of the song and through the process teach them how to have true punk rock spirit.
The emotional core of the film centers on Johnny's relationship with his wife, Jules - an aged groupie who feels the heavy hands of her biological clock ticking away. The film chronicles this outlandish moment in music history from Johnny's point of view, and recounts his tumultuous journey with his wife. http://www.vinylthemovie.co.uk
