Synopsis
Birthday Girl is a somewhat twisted comedy, it looks at matriarchal omnipotence, favouritism and the hierarchy of familial rivary. It deals with the cruelty of expectation and disappointment and demonstrates the early but ultimate lesson that life is hard. Unless you're top dog.
