Conquering Heroes
Synopsis
Iris and Lilly Nelson, living in a house near an army camp, are the daughters of an ex-colonel-in-chief. Entertaining the camp's officers, their drinking buddies are Mitch, Bobby and Danny who are preparing for a tour in Afghanistan.
When Mitch proposes to Iris, the sisters are apprehensive that Mitch will discover and then report to the police that they have locked their brother Henry in a cell in the basement and that they have kept him there for eight years. Meanwhile, Henry having found a way to escape from his cell, stocks, then kills a soldier. This sparks off a murder hunt by inspector Arun.
When a second soldier is killed near the house, Iris and Lily try to cover up the murder and bury the body in the garden. When a third soldier is murdered, an armed guard is posted at the house to protect the sisters from the 'beast'.
Concerned for their soldier friends, but bound by family ties, the sisters continue to hide the existence of Henry from Mitch and the police despite the knowledge that Henry is beyond their control. Conquering Heroes is a modern day tale about the effects of war on the armed forces personnel.
