Gabon - The Fight for Eden
Synopsis
The world's second largest rainforest, and one of post-colonial Africa's longest-running political dynasties, are on the brink of disappearing. Over two years, we follow Gabon's controversial President, Ali Bongo, his unlikely environment minister, Lee White (a conservationist from Manchester) and their fearless team of eco-guards as they battle against invading criminals and powerful corrupt forces to protect the precious Congo Basin Rainforest. With critical presidential elections fast approaching, they are in a race against time to convince the Gabonese people and the rest of the world to support their audacious plan that could save us from climate catastrophe... but when the election results come in, no-one foresees what happens next.
