Synopsis

When an old bus breaks down on a deserted English country road, nine irate passengers plus bossy feminist bus driver, Sandra - who hates driving - are stranded together for the day: devious businessman Choker late for a vital meeting, his spoilt daughter Juliet eager to spend his money shopping, pregnant Maggie desperate to get to hospital, video games freak Pilke heading for a major cyber show, Grandad and young Richmond on their weekly trip to the cinema, macho man Tash going to a serious soccer match, dreamy Denise with her fantasy phone calls to rock band The Fabulous Flaky and eccentric hitch-hiker, Walter on the road to nowhere.

They all have to put their desires on hold until a rescue bus arrives.

It is a day that changes their lives. For one thing, these total strangers are forced to actually start talking to each other.

Wonderful comic performances, a lovely mix of music and beautiful photography make this a perfect international feelgood movie.
