In the Park
Synopsis
In the Park is a punchy, painfully evocative tale of three young teenage girls who have got themselves into more trouble than they bargained for.
Julie, Amira and Lindsey cross the gulf between childhood and adulthood in one afternoon.
Set in one of the capital's parks on a hot summer day when the asphalt is melting and there is madness in the baking concrete, Lindsey, Julie and Amira are bunking off school. A trio looking for trouble. Their delight in themselves is infectious. Their 'badness' shockingly innocent. Then Lindsey's cramps become suddenly crippling, and hiding in the bushes behind the playground they realise that she is having a baby.
