January 2nd
Synopsis
When a 30-something couple give a New Year’s weekend bash for their assorted friends, the ensuing jealousies, tensions and emotions that emerge from such a reunion cause them to decide the future of their own troubled marriage.
January 2nd is a hip, sexy film with hilarious comedy set pieces performed by a talented cast of young British actors. It lifts the lid on contemporary relationships with a fierce sexual honesty and brings its characters to the screen with coruscating wit. It combines the humour of Withnail and I and the warmth of The Big Chill, with a soundtrack to match that charts the history of the last 15 years of UK music and street culture.
