Synopsis

Ed Dowie is blessed with an egalitarian spirit, though his attempts at optimism and his enjoyment of life are marred by kidney failure. For Ed this creates a constant cycle of treatment and recovery very much like the tidal movements of the sea. This portrait focuses on Ed's character and reflections whilst also showing Ed in his element, creating music.
