Synopsis
Queer, mixed heritage, Londoner Quinn impulsively jets off to Cape Town following her mother's sudden passing, seeking to reconnect with her estranged father. However, her quest takes an unexpected turn and a serendipitous encounter with the charismatic South African trans man Harley offers Quinn far more than just a ‘ride’ through the backwaters of the Western Cape. From the outset, Quinn and Harley navigate a tumultuous path, traversing from the vibrant urban landscapes of Cape Town to the serene wide and rural heartlands.
LOW RIDER offers a unique lens on the road trip adventure genre as Quinn grapples with newfound revelations and is forced to confront her own demons.
