Mile End
Synopsis
Deceive yourself. It works.
"You know that old runner’s trick? You see something in the distance - a building, a tree. You tell yourself you’re only going to run to that point. But when you get there, you don’t stop. You keep running."
Paul meets John while he's out running. A sinister chain of events arouses his suspicions about his new friend. But by then it's too late - their lives are bound together by a shared fate. After being forced out of his job Paul is left doubting his future until he runs into John, a friendly American who seems to have all the answers. They both agree that life isn’t fair and John comes up with a radical plan to turn Paul’s life around. But when a young banker is found murdered, Paul begins to question what John really wants.
