Synopsis

Tells the story of the conservation of a rare 18th century folding screen painted by Utagawa Toyoharu. It presents a unique opportunity to share the expertise of Mitsuhiro Abe, master restorer at the British Museum as he uses traditional Japanese tools and techniques to conserve these remarkable paintings.
