Shetland Oil Disaster

  • slideshow_large

Synopsis

In January 1993 the Braer Oil Tanker was swept by storms onto the rocks of Shetland. The media reported that the 85,000 tons of crude oil would cause an environmental catastrophe. The film follows seal and bird rescue teams as they work to save as many victims as they can find. Five years later we assess the true damage of Britain's largest oil spill.
