Strictly Sinatra
Synopsis
The first feature for director Peter Capaldi and producer Ruth Kenley-Letts. Written by Peter Capaldi.
Strictly Sinatra stars Ian Hart as Toni Cocozza, a Scottish-Italian club crooner obsessed by Frank Sinatra, who falls in with a group of local gangsters in the hope that they will make him a star. But there is a price to pay. As he is drawn by the glamour of the gangsters, in particular the Las Vegas stories of their leader Chisholm (Brian Cox), Toni begins to betray Bill (Alun Armstrong), his best friend and accompanist, and Irene (Kelly Macdonald), the local girl he loves.
