The Last Sign
Synopsis
Kathleen, 37, is a pretty woman struggling with her own hurt and rebellion, and trying to heal her wounds after the ultimely death of an alcoholic husband, Jeremy. Their years together were bitter sweet, tainted with violence, pain, and betrayed love. She feels that she will never be able to forgive. She harbours more hatred than affection for Jeremy.
As for love, Kathleen refuses to entertain the idea that the sun will ever shine for her again. Her devotion to her children amply suffices to fill her world of love. But strange, disturbing occurrences disrupt her safe haven. Telephone calls with no caller come every night just after midnight. Objects and photos oddly disappear. The figure 8 manifests itself repeatedly.
Kathleen pushes aside the anguish that these coincidences provoke and concentrates on her material existence.
